Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tiko Learn training platform, mobiliser application, and staff portal (collectively, "the Service"). By accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1 Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2 Eligibility

The Service is intended for adult training participants and professional staff of Tiko Learn and its partner organisations.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
Mobiliser accounts are provisioned by your organisation.
Staff accounts require an authorised role and, where applicable, membership in an approved Google Workspace domain.

3 Your account

You are responsible for:

Keeping your password confidential
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use
Providing accurate information during registration and profile setup

You may not share your account, use another person's account, or create accounts by automated means.

4 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service
Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service or its training content
Upload malware, spam, or harmful code
Impersonate any person or organisation
Collect or store other users' personal information without consent
Circumvent security features, rate limits, or access controls

Zero tolerance. Fraud, safeguarding violations, harassment, or misuse of confidential information will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

5 Training content and certification

Training modules, quizzes, decisions, and certificates are provided for educational purposes. Certification confirms completion of the training programme — it does not constitute professional licensure, legal qualification, or clinical authorisation.

Certificates are valid for the period stated on the certificate.
Certificates may be verified by your organisation or an authorised third party using the verification service.
Tiko Learn may revoke a certificate if the underlying training was obtained fraudulently.

Field practice: Always follow your organisation's safeguarding procedures, national laws, and local protocols. The training supports — but never replaces — professional judgment and legal duty.

6 Points, rewards and progress

Points, streaks, and rewards are tools to encourage learning. They have no monetary value and may be adjusted, reset, or removed if obtained through error, abuse, or manipulation.

7 Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and materials available through the Service are the property of Tiko Learn or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended training purpose. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works without written permission.

8 Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including Google Identity Services for staff sign-in. Your use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, security, or content of third-party services.

9 Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10 Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law.

11 Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

12 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiko Learn and its affiliates, directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tiko Learn is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
